About Okanagan Asparagus Farm

Okanagan Asparagus Farm
is a family run Asparagus and Strawberry and Vegetable farm located in

Armstrong
British Columbia

We have been growing asparagus in the Armstrong area since 1996

OKANAGAN ASPARAGUS FARM

Our 160 acre farm has had a number of changes up until now.

In 2004 we purchased the Turkey Track Farm from some wonderful people who had lived here for over 30 years, they had some cattle, horses, and kept the upper field in grain.

We kept the grain, ate one of the cows (was the best steak ever!) and continued to grow ginseng for a couple of years.

In 2006 Tim's idea was to start a turf farm while we waited for newly planted asparagus crowns to mature.  We added a whole new irrigation system, including a newly drilled well, which provided us with a much needed commodity in the Okanagan Valley,  WATER! and plenty of it!

Armstrong Turf Farm ran for 6 years in conjunction with our asparagus operation, and was partially phased out over a two year period operating until the fall of 2011 when it was phased out completely, Whew!

The turf farm was fun to operate and we loved dealing with all of the interesting customers, it was hard to say goodbye and I will miss my very large and expansive lush lawn.

But on to greener spears

This year we will have over 50 acres of asparagus! and are looking forward to many improvments geared towards the added asparagus production
